Robert's first book, Trebor's Time Machine, began life as a short story conceived over dinner at a local Chili's with his then 8 year old daughter, Amber. The concept was to follow a grade school kid as he witnesses history through his homemade time machine. The plan, at that time, was to write several short adventures that would mix education with entertainment. However, over the years, as young adult fiction began to explode, and as authors became less inclined to "dumb down" their stories for younger readers, the original idea expanded. Books like Harry Potter paved the way for a fully-realized Trebor adventure. Trebor's History Machine, as it was known then, became a full-fledged novel.
